As a first-generation college graduate and Latina professional Vanessa aspires to have an impact on other Latinas in the work force. Volunteering her time and being an available resource to mentor the younger generation is something she aims to accomplish through Latina Professionals. She studied at Florida International University (FIU) where she earned her Bachelors in Accounting and Masters in Tax. For over 13 years Vanessa has been working in the Private Equity industry, beginning her career as a Senior Accountant at HIG Capital and currently a Fund Controller at I Squared Capital, both headquartered in Miami, Fl. She previously served as a board member for the FIU Alumni Association and enjoys attending leadership and development programs at her alma matter.
Vanessa resides in Miami, Fl alongside her husband and two sons who attend Belen Jesuit Preparatory and are active in their community through different services organizations.
